Description: The exposed growth rings and spalting pattern on these switch plates offer a unique, earthy look. This not only intrigues the eye, but accentuates the warmth of a natural home.
The alder wood used for these switch plates is enhanced using a process called "spalting" to bring out the beauty of the hardwood -- allowing the wood to reveal both its spalting pattern and a cross-section of the tree's growth rings.
The resulting products exhibit a rich mixture of red and brown earth tones, blended with streaks of a lighter honey color -- giving each unique piece a warm and weathered character.
